About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our SME Team at QBE Insurance Group. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our policies meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate risk for clients, using your expertise and knowledge of insurance markets to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain high-value clients, improving policy performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless communication and delivery of services.
  • Monitor market trends and client feedback to inform underwriting decisions and improve policy offerings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Extensive underwriting experience in the insurance industry, preferably in business packages and farm.
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Knowledge of relevant insurance market conditions and trends.
  • Business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and negotiate with clients and partners.
