About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our team at Fuse Recruitment. As a key member of our insurance team, you will be responsible for underwriting new business general liability quotes and assisting with renewals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite new business general liability quotes and assist with renewals
  • Develop and manage a portfolio with a primary focus on Queensland
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with brokers, expanding both new and existing networks
  • Prepare and communicate quotations, bindings, endorsements, and mid-term adjustments
  • Monitor market trends and assist in the preparation of marketing strategies
  • Support management with ad-hoc tasks and contribute to the business's strategic goals
About You
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or broking, particularly in liability
  • Strong knowledge of general and products liability, with a willingness to learn other classes
  • Proven ability to market and win new business while developing broker relationships
  • Skilled in using underwriting systems like Underwriter Central and KeyQuote
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proactive, service-oriented mindset
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to explain complex scenarios to brokers clearly
