Propulsion Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance to lead the development of propulsion systems for small satellite launch vehicles. As Deputy Head of Propulsion Engineering, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Propulsion Engineering in leading future propulsion programs and providing technical direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Propulsion Engineering in leading future propulsion programs
  • Oversee technical execution of propulsion development projects ensuring alignment with program milestones, safety requirements, and system-level objectives
  • Lead propulsion system architecture trade studies, system integration activities, and design reviews
  • Manage, develop, and support a multidisciplinary propulsion engineering team fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in a professional engineering setting (excluding internships)
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
  • Highly developed CAD skills developed through design of parts and assemblies (SolidWorks preferred, Inventor, CATIA etc.)
  • Highly developed analysis skills with at least one commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ECSS (E-10/30/60), Mil and NASA standards (as appropriate)
