African Underground Mining Services Electrical Foreman Job

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to join our team in Africa. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience as an underground electrician and 5 years' experience as an underground electrical supervisor.

The successful candidate will possess sound knowledge of Australian standards relevant to underground mining electrical systems, maintaining electrical management systems, and WHS requirements. They will also have solid computer skills and be able to work effectively in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support site leadership teams in implementing safety systems and initiatives to improve safety performance.
  • Review working areas of sites and ensure compliance with relevant Acts and Regulations, policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards.
  • Ensure visual leadership interactions are undertaken.
  • Support site electrical teams with planning and provide coaching and mentoring to site team members.
  • Liaise with site Project Management and Electrical Manager for non-compliance and/or safety issues relating to site electrical concerns.
Qualifications and Training
  • Electrical Trade certificate
  • Unrestricted electrical license
  • Electrical Nominee qualifications
  • High Voltage operations certificate
  • First Aid qualifications
