About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Perth. This full-time position requires a dedicated and energetic individual with a strong background in sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To acquire new customers and maintain existing relationships to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • To promote Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as an ambassador, ensuring that the company's standards, principles, and reputation are upheld at all times.
  • To develop and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base within target verticals and strengthens its presence.
  • To achieve growth and profitability targets in line with pre-agreed annual targets.
  • To grow the sales pipeline by prospecting, identifying, and evaluating new opportunities.
  • To gather market data and competitive intelligence through customer interaction, key opinion leaders, regulatory bodies, and other sources.
  • To remain up-to-date on market trends, technology, and best practices to ensure relevance when engaging with potential customers.
  • To build strong relationships with key target customers across the decision-making matrix.
  • To work closely with the operational and solutions teams to develop operationally and commercially attractive solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • To confidently explain engineered solutions to close business deals.
  • To lead contract negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial contractual terms, highlighting and escalating any operational or commercial risks to Country/Regional management.
  • To handle clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
