Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technology Risk and Control Specialist to join our Global Internal Audit team based in Sydney. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our organisation's digital assets by delivering across all areas of the audit lifecycle (planning, fieldwork, and reporting of findings) for our retail bank, commodities and global markets, and investment banking portfolios.

You will have the opportunity to interact with senior technology stakeholders throughout audits and during continuous business monitoring. While your primary focus will be on auditing applications, you will also have the chance to complete audits across cybersecurity, cloud, and other topical technology areas.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality audits that provide assurance on the effectiveness of technology risk and control environments
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior technology stakeholders
  • Identify and assess emerging risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the development of audit plans and strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in technology audit or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards
  • A continuous learning mindset, committed to staying up to date with the latest technology trends and cyber threats through ongoing professional development and certifications
