Primary Music Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching music to students across the primary school, with a focus on promoting a love of music and artistic expression.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive music program. They will also be responsible for assisting and supporting arts/music events in the college, differentiating curriculum to meet individual student needs, and providing opportunities for intellectual, spiritual, cultural, physical, and social development through the selection of appropriate learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach music to students across the primary school
  • Collaborate with other Music/Arts staff to ensure a cohesive program and promote music across the College
  • Assist and support Arts/Music events in the College
  • Differentiate curriculum to meet individual needs of students
  • Provide opportunities for the intellectual, spiritual, cultural, physical and social development of students

  • Demonstrated commitment to the Christian ethos of Geelong Lutheran College
  • A professional approach to contemporary teaching and learning
  • Demonstrated skills and quality experiences relevant to the position, including knowledge and understanding of early years education, including the Kodaly and Orff music teaching methodologies
