The Brisbane Catholic Education system is seeking a Co-Curricular Music Teacher - Strings to join our community of faith at Siena Catholic Primary School in Sippy Downs, Queensland.

We are a co-educational, Catholic primary school catering for approximately 630 students. Our school inspires students with a love of learning and a heart of hope, empowering them to shape and enrich our world.

The successful applicant will be qualified in music and/or education, or have appropriate teaching experience within a school environment. They will be pro-active, enthusiastic, and skilled to inspire and nurture the musical aspirations of motivated students from Year 2 to Year 12.

Responsibilities include leading beginner to advanced String Ensembles, teaching pair and individual lessons, and preparing students for external music examinations. The ability to teach music theory and other musical instruments would be an advantage.

The program at Siena is administered by school staff who support all teachers and ensure continued growth. Tuition fees are collected by the school, and the successful applicant will be guided by the conditions outlined in the position description, school position statement, and school officer award.

Performances, meetings, reporting, extra-curricular activities, and involvement with school ensembles are required. The school has modern, well-resourced, air-conditioned teaching studios, and all students are taught as individuals or in pairs during school hours and before or after school.
