Interpreter Role

We are seeking two interpreters to deliver engaging programs and activities for diverse audiences, focusing on First Peoples knowledge, cultures, histories, and technology.

The position plays a crucial role in enhancing our audience's understanding of First Peoples' knowledge, cultures, histories, and technology.

  • Deliver high-quality learning outcomes for diverse audiences using professional judgement

This exciting role will have the opportunity to use contemporary digital tools to support and deliver engaging educational experiences, including peer-to-peer learning, communication guidance, and procedural training.

About You
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and present First Peoples knowledge, cultures, histories, and technology to diverse audiences
  • Proven experience in facilitating First Peoples programs, workshops, or shows for diverse audiences with adaptability to audience needs
  • Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and manage your own performance and time efficiently

Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be able to present complex information clearly and concisely. They should also have a strong focus on delivering quality results and be self-motivated team players.

Requirements:

  • Experience in interpretation and cultural education
  • Understanding of First Peoples' knowledge, cultures, histories, and technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
