Disability Support Worker Role

About this position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest.

You will work collaboratively with our clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide person-centred support and promote client choice and control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement person-centred support plans that cater to the unique needs of each client
  • Facilitate goal achievement through meaningful activities and engagement
  • Maintain accurate and detailed record keeping
  • BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS, FAMILIES AND COLLEAGUES
  • Advocate for client autonomy and self-determination
Requirements:
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Cooking skills and knowledge of mealtime management
  • Previous experience providing personal care and support
  • Confidence in managing behaviour support plans
  • Passion for delivering high-quality active support
  • A current First Aid Certificate
