Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Moriarty, Tasmania. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on safety and productivity.
As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for conducting pre-start and end-of-shift equipment checks, managing inventory with precision, and following established safety protocols.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment with exposure to key aspects of warehouse operations. Our team is dedicated to promoting a safe and productive workplace while encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-start and end-of-shift equipment checks
- Operating heavy equipment under supervisor and management directions
- Managing and labeling inventory with precision
- Refueling and recharging equipment
- Following safety procedures and proactively reporting hazards
- Participating in daily toolbox meetings to discuss safety and productivity
Requirements:
- A current heavy equipment license and unencumbered driver's license
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive attitude with the ability to follow rules and procedures
- Flexibility in working hours to meet operational needs
The hourly rate for this position is $30.95, with shift loading rates applied as required. Approximately 38 hours per week will be worked over a 4-month period.
