Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for partnering with major wholesalers and driving growth across our portfolio of dairy and juice products.

Your primary focus will be on our specialty cheese lines, as well as executing our national strategy for unstructured route accounts. You will work closely with our Wholesaler & Distributor Director to develop and implement sales strategies that maximize volume and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Lactalis's capabilities to advance our position with customers and drive overall profitability.
  • Develop and execute national sales strategies that maximize volume and profitability through monitoring financial results and making strategic recommendations.
  • Determine unique customer product needs, facilitate product development and approval, negotiate pricing, develop contracts, and obtain and communicate forecasted volume requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance in the development of Lactalis and customer joint annual business plans by validating future strategies and identifying key category opportunities.
  • Grow current and emerging customers' business by collaborating with customers to identify custom product needs and coordinating with R&D and Operations teams.
  • Ensure customer day-to-day needs are met by managing and coordinating efforts of all other functional areas, including sales service, Operations, Finance, Logistics, and Marketing.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG sales/marketing/commercial.
  • Experience managing and negotiating with national wholesale buying groups.
  • Advanced Commercial Acumen.
  • Category Management principles and levers.
  • Advanced Negotiation skills.
  • Competitive environment knowledge - Category & Channel.
  • Customer focus - Channel & Retailer understanding.
  • Trade Marketing - Market Activation.
  • Solid sales experience at regional or national level.
  • Strong project management and planning competencies.
  • Advanced Data Analysis & understanding.
