About the Role

This role will be supporting our Urban Development division, who are innovators in residential and commercial development, undertaking wholly owned projects and joint ventures in developments of varying size and scale. With projects under development throughout Australia, and a strong track record in property development in various regions, Urbex National aspires to expand its development portfolio by creating new communities across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Financial management of the Urban Development business.
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to the Urban Development business.
  • Responsible for the preparation, management, and updating of the detailed financial model for all projects (new and existing) including sensitivity analysis.
  • Maintain and manage an accurate cashflow forecast and report to key stakeholders on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with funding applications, funding conditions/covenants, and progress drawdowns.
  • Assist with the due diligence process on new acquisitions as part of a dedicated project team through feasibility and financial analysis.
  • Satisfy the regular financial and risk reporting requirements of Urban Development and the company to allow for informed decision-making for the effective performance of a portfolio of properties.
  • Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process for the portfolio.
  • Function as the main point of contact for escalation of commercial and finance-related issues.
  • Prepare financial statements for Joint Venture reporting requirements.
  • Support the preparation of management and board reports.
  • Monitor overhead allocations and reforecast if required.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets in association with the General Manager.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation of all cash reports/schedules required by the company's Treasury.

Requirements

  • A high level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • High-level financial modeling skills.
  • Experience in cashflow management.
  • Experience in preparation of submissions for property financing.
  • Experience within the property sector in a commercially focused role.
  • Possesses strong commercial judgments.
  • Bachelor's degree in business (Finance/Accounting) / Commerce / Property Economics is essential.
