Finance teams require a forward-thinking Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen their financial foundation. This role involves acting as a key anchor for financial control, tax compliance, and general ledger integrity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AASB/IFRS, general ledger ownership, and control environments. They will also be proficient in using ERP and BI tools such as Oracle, Micropay, QlikView, OBIEE, Power BI, LeaseQuery, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, including payroll accruals, bonus provisions, prepaid insurance, PPV, novated leases, intercompany, inventory amortisation, etc.

  • Ensure transaction integrity of trial balance coding for multiple entities.

Additional responsibilities include leading monthly reconciliation of payroll liabilities, tax balances (GST, FBT, income tax), inventory, GRNI, and COGS roll over annual review other key GL accounts. The role also involves reviewing and resolving exceptions and aged balances in coordination with shared services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification: CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent.

  • Experience: 5+ years in financial accounting, audit coordination, and compliance.

  • Technical skills: Strong understanding of AASB/IFRS, general ledger ownership, and control environments.

  • Systems: Proficient in using ERP and BI tools.
