Lead National Communications and Engagement

The successful candidate will lead the Commission's national communications, engagement and education functions, shaping and delivering strategies to build awareness of NDIS participant rights, strengthen provider capability, and enhance the Commission's reputation as a trusted regulator.

This critical role requires an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience in communications, engagement and/or education, ideally in a regulatory, disability or human rights context. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership, strategic influence and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement national communications strategies that achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of educational resources for NDIS providers and workers on their obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the NDIA, governments, and the disability sector.
  • Ensure all communications are inclusive and accessible.
  • Identify and deliver new digital opportunities to enhance the Commission's communications and engagement approaches.
Requirements
  • Extensive senior executive experience in communications, engagement and/or education.
  • Outstanding leadership, strategic influence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the rights of people with disability and inclusive practice.
