Community Engagement Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a Community Engagement Director to lead our organisation's communication efforts. This role will focus on delivering strategic communications, engaging members and managing our CRM database.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy across digital, print and media channels.
  2. Develop and produce high-quality content for media releases, newsletters and other communications materials.
  3. Manage social media accounts and maintain our website, ensuring up-to-date information is available to our audience.
  4. Coordinate media opportunities and manage event communications, including planning and execution.
  5. Maintain our brand's visual identity through adherence to our style guide.
  6. Stay informed about industry news and policy developments impacting our members.
  7. Prepare regular communication reports and analytics for stakeholders.
  8. Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify and create valuable content.
  9. Support membership inquiries and provide information services to producers.
  10. Oversee and maintain our CRM membership database.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated professional experience and qualifications in communications, media or marketing.
  2. Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, with a high level of accuracy in writing, editing and formatting content.
  3. Strong proficiency in website CMSs, social media platforms and CRM systems.
  4. Able to prioritise and manage competing tasks with minimal supervision.
  5. Familiarity with agriculture and rural issues, particularly the livestock industry.
  6. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships with members, media and partners.
