**Contract Payroll and Accounts Officer Opportunity Available**

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our finance team on a 12-month contract basis.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • To process payroll accurately and efficiently for a large Award-covered employee base using Elmo software.
  • Maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay, and leave.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and regulations, including WorkCover and payroll tax requirements.
  • Administration of employee benefits, deductions, and WorkCover claims.
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in a payroll support role, preferably within a large retail or Award-based environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and legislation.
  • Proficiency in Elmo payroll software and Xero, Cin7 is desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Additional Information:**

This is a temporary position to cover parental leave, offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic finance team.
