Occupational Therapist Senior Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a senior leadership role.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Emergency Department on a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays, at both Nambour General Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The ideal candidate will possess senior level generalist OT skills with expertise in one or more clinical areas of OT, such as hand therapy, trauma / minor head injury, acute orthopaedic, and/or geriatric areas of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with minimal need for direct clinical supervision.
  • Exercise professional judgement to adapt routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
  • Provide expert clinical advice, education, and influence towards a patient-centred vision and direction to operational teams and stakeholders regarding service delivery.
  • Lead the monitoring of professional clinical standards and outcomes, service improvement activities, Performance and Development Plans, quality activities, evidence-based practice, and clinical research programs.
