This Institute is a nexus for industry and academia, driving efficiencies, optimising processes, and generating new knowledge to meet the evolving needs of the regions' economy.

As Executive Director, you will play a strategic role in shaping the next phase of the Institute's development, focusing on cross-disciplinary research programs with themes: Powering the Future, Next Generation Resources, and Environmental Sustainability & Security.

You will lead the Institute's strategic growth, expanding research funding and delivering outcomes that align with the University and external partner priorities.

About This Role

You should have an outstanding track record of excellence in providing strategic leadership in collaboration with external partners to deliver research goals and objectives.

You will be an accomplished leader with:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications with established excellence in a professional field; or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to lead high-performing teams, manage resources to drive sustainable outcomes.
  • Expertise in strategy development and strong track record of delivering results aligned with vision and objectives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with industry, community, and academic partners, supported by comprehensive experience working with industry and established networks.
