Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Head of Corporate Governance. This position requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with a deep understanding of corporate governance principles.

The ideal candidate will provide oversight and guidance on our governance, risk, and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective systems and strategies to strengthen our compliance culture and operational integrity
  • Oversee public interest disclosures, conflicts of interest, right to information, ethics, lobbyist management, and audit coordination
  • Drive strategic planning and reporting cycles, facilitate risk workshops, and serve as the principal liaison for regulatory and government engagements
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop solutions to improve our governance and compliance framework

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading corporate governance functions and providing strategic advice in complex, multidisciplinary environments
  • Deep understanding of statutory compliance obligations and ability to manage strategic projects and reporting cycles
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Certification in corporate governance or a related field is an asset
