Academic Support Facilitator

The Learning Support Assistant role is pivotal in fostering a conducive learning environment. This position plays a vital part in supporting teachers to provide each child with the opportunity to grow academically and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with teachers to create an engaging educational experience for students and their families, centered around faith-based values
- Provide support and assistance in school routines, classroom activities, and the care and support of students with disabilities
- Administer assessments, deliver interventions, and implement adjustments required for individual students and groups of students
- A clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic education and its mission through schools
- Experience working with students with disabilities (K-12)
- Ability to work under the direction of a teacher and collaborate with school staff, CSO personnel, and external stakeholders
- Current NSW Working with Children Check number
- Completion of anaphylaxis training
- Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support / or relevant experience in schools
- Work in quality schools where students are nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to excel
- Access to corporate fitness program, employee assistance program, training, and staff development programs, paid parental leave, and long service leave after five years
