We're seeking an experienced education professional to join our team as an Academic Learning Facilitator. In this key role, you'll play a vital part in shaping the educational journey of our students and contributing to their academic success.

  • Teach into enabling education programs and courses, including the University Preparation Program, and serve as course convenor when required.
  • Provide front-line academic learning support using various educational technologies and methodologies, including one-on-one consultations, group sessions/workshops, and university events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a service-oriented environment that fosters innovation, continuous improvement, and teaching excellence in enabling education programs and courses.
  • Establish strong networks and working relationships with faculties and departments to provide continuity of student support and promote student success.
  • Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and quality assurance of enabling education programs, activities, and resources, leveraging educational technologies to enhance accessibility.
  • Work in partnership with faculties to design, develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based, systemic, and responsive academic learning support initiatives.
  • Manage projects and initiatives related to academic development, analyzing the integration of educational technology into development programs and initiatives.
  • Liaise with faculty representatives and teaching staff to analyze academic learning needs aligned with the university's strategic direction and contribute to driving innovative academic learning facilitation.
  • Develop, implement, and review policies, procedures, guidelines, and training materials/resources related to enabling education and academic learning facilitation.
  • Collaborate with education pillar themes and teams to promote the integration of digital delivery options in educational resources and offerings.

What We're Looking For:

  • A PhD or Master's degree, with prior experience teaching in higher education.
  • Experience working with and understanding issues facing tertiary education students from diverse equity backgrounds and the key issues impacting accessibility to education and academic learning support and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, courses, formative and summative assessments, and learning and teaching approaches that promote student academic learning and development.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and implementing educational technologies, including web-based learning management systems, to facilitate learning and identify avenues for innovation and improvement in learning resources.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively on academic language and learning strategies.
