Job Title: Resident Advisor

The Resident Advisor plays a vital role in the educational and social experience of students. They collaborate closely with the college administration to facilitate academic, social, and cultural life.

Resident Advisors reside among students on their floors and provide daily support. They assist students in meeting academic requirements, promote respectful relationships between residents, and contribute to floor and college events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in regular meetings and training sessions
  • Assisting in the overnight duty roster
  • Mentoring students to achieve academic goals
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive environment among residents

About You

We are seeking an individual who:

  • Is engaged in study or professional work associated with the university, demonstrating academic excellence
  • Is willing to live on site or relocate to our college community
  • Has experience contributing to collegiate life, promoting student engagement and well-being
  • Understands diverse student needs and interests from various backgrounds
  • Has knowledge of relevant equity and diversity policies, particularly harassment and discrimination
  • Has First Aid Certification or is willing to obtain it
  • Has a Working With Children Check and Police check
  • Is committed to attending Mental Health Awareness and other relevant training
