Job Overview

This role involves working as a skilled tyre fitter at a coal project in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for removing, fitting and repairing tyres, rims and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the mining industry and a Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology or equivalent. They will also require strong time management, problem-solving and communication skills.

Key responsibilities include conducting regular tyre inflation checks, adjusting pressures and reporting to supervisors. Additionally, the candidate will be required to source technical information from manuals and computer systems, and take proactive measures to prevent equipment non-conformance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Removing, fitting and repairing tyres, rims and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment
  • Conducting regular tyre inflation checks and adjusting pressures
  • Sourcing technical information from manuals and computer systems
  • Taking proactive measures to prevent equipment non-conformance

Requirements:

- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology or equivalent

- Minimum 2 years' experience as a tyre fitter

- Experience in the mining industry

- Strong time management, problem-solving and communication skills
