We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will be responsible for learning and mastering the fundamentals of heavy vehicle mechanics, including diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting routine inspections, and performing scheduled maintenance tasks. They will also participate in training programs, workshops, and educational opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and master the basics of heavy vehicle mechanics.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues while developing technical skills.
- Work with experienced technicians and mentors to develop expertise.
- Support technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, tyre rotations, and lubrication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants must have a willingness to undertake formal training requirements of this role, a positive attitude that contributes to good work culture and displays exemplary ethics, and a genuine interest in the heavy vehicle mechanical trade with a commitment to completing the apprenticeship. Experience with a wide variety of modern fleet and specialised equipment is also desirable.
