Key Role Overview

The Manager Engagement & Communications role is pivotal in shaping an organisation's voice and visibility. This position plays a driving force behind connecting, inspiring, and empowering others through crafting bold campaigns, building trusted relationships, and amplifying impact across platforms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the organisation's values and direction.
  • Foster genuine partnerships with media, influencers, community leaders, and partner organisations to amplify the voice and impact.
  • Align communications across diverse programmes and stakeholders.
  • Develop culturally relevant campaigns that promote health, celebrate people, and elevate the brand.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor degree qualification in a relevant field (e.g. journalism, marketing, PR, communications) and at least 5 years of industry experience—ideally in a leadership role.
  • A good level of fitness for occasional physical tasks.
  • Vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, whooping cough, and hepatitis B.
  • A valid Queensland C or CA class driver's licence.
