Environmental Campaigning Director

Greenpeace is an independent environmental organisation that uses non-violent direct action to expose global environmental problems and promote solutions.

As a member of our board, you will be responsible for leading our environmental campaigning efforts and ensuring that our actions align with our mission and values. This includes working closely with our team to develop and implement effective campaigns, as well as collaborating with other stakeholders to amplify our impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective campaign strategies to achieve our environmental goals
  • Leading and managing a team of campaign staff to ensure successful delivery of campaigns
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and community groups, to amplify our impact and influence policy change
  • Ensuring that our campaigns are aligned with our mission and values and are consistent with our organisational goals

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in environmental campaigning, with a strong track record of achieving success through non-violent direct action
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of campaign staff
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a focus on achieving our environmental goals
