Business Development Specialist Role

Geocycle is seeking a skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying and pursuing business opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing customer projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities through existing and new customers
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, acting as the link between customers and Geocycle technical and production staff
  • Research and gather market intelligence, reporting and acting on key findings
  • Achieve sales targets and KPI's
  • Play a key role in customer negotiations, winning new customers and customer complaint resolution
  • Manage customer projects end to end, from initial lead to first delivery
About You:
  • You have previous experience in sales, business development or account manager role, ideally in the waste or related industries
  • You have a natural ability to build rapport and great relationships with customers
  • You are analytical, commercially aware and able to navigate the technical components of our business
  • You are tenacious, driven and willing to take on new challenges
  • You have a keen desire to learn
  • You stay across the detail and see projects through to ensure successful results
  • Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in business, science or a related field
