Business Analyst Position

This role is ideal for a skilled business analyst looking to make a meaningful contribution to the company's strategic growth. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial part in providing insightful analysis and recommendations to optimise profitability and drive business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Validation: Collaborate with the Product Development department to assess the commercial viability of new products, focusing on target pricing, costs, margin expectations, and forecasts.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse the progress of new and existing products, identifying performance against targets, market trends, and return on investment. Use this information to inform future planning decisions.
  • Stock Management: Review stock levels versus turnover, identify slow-moving items, and propose corrective actions to mitigate risk. Influence the phase-out of obsolete lines and develop strategies to manage stock levels effectively.
  • Market Data Gathering: Work with the external sales team to gather reliable market data for launching new products and reviewing existing product performance. Develop and maintain effective methods for storing and analysing relevant market information.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and manage customer price files within the system, including promotions and pricing adjustments.

You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders across departments, including Product Development, Marketing, Purchasing, and Customer Services. Additionally, you will provide support for projects within the company to contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Strong Commercial Awareness and Analytical Skills: Compile, interpret, and analyse key trends and data sets to support strategic business decisions.
  • Project Management Skills: Ensure analytical initiatives align with business goals, are delivered on time, and drive measurable impact.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in analysis and reporting.
  • Effective Communication: Use a broad range of communication styles to effectively communicate with different audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify opportunities to improve current processes and develop solutions or efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools: Familiarity with tools like Power BI or similar software.
