Position Overview
The Fund Bank Integrity team plays a crucial role within Fund Accounting and Operations, concentrating on the provision of retail funding bank account, investment, and general ledger account reconciliation services for Wealth Pension and Investments products. The successful candidate will assist the team in daily operations, including managing and investigating aged reconciliation items within service level agreements (SLAs), covering superannuation entities and managed investment schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reconciliation of assigned bank and general ledger suspense accounts in accordance with SLAs.
- Review, escalate, and resolve outstanding items promptly, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess daily banking needs for funds/schemes, focusing on liquidity management.
- Oversee daily platform cash functions and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, providing accurate reporting and enabling necessary control mechanisms.
- Maintain accounting records, updating documents, spreadsheets, and databases as necessary.
- Build and nurture relationships with key business areas, including Client First, Custody, Super Accounting, Reporting, and Technology.
- Perform additional functions across Fund Bank Integrity as directed by Team Leaders.
Qualifications:
- Degree-qualified or possess significant industry operational experience.
- CA/CPA qualification is advantageous.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in funds management or the financial services sector is preferred.
- Experience in implementing automation, process simplification, or regulatory changes.
- Investment knowledge, with an understanding of asset management and superannuation sectors.
- Strong client service orientation, promoting client-first thinking to achieve finance team goals.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and an interest in financial laws and procedures.
- Excellent networking abilities to establish professional relationships and stay updated on industry trends.
- Strong documentation skills, ensuring accuracy in detailed financial records.
- Project management experience to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting obligations and simplification initiatives.
