Salary: $83,000 per year (estimated)

Job Description: Early Years Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists. As an Early Years Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering supports in partnership with families to help them achieve their goals using evidence-informed best practice.

You will use assessments, observations, and your understanding of child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family. This includes empowering families, caregivers, and professionals by helping them build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives.

In this role, you will connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in the settings and activities they choose. You will also keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood
  • Expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues
  • Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including the implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles
