About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSET Advisor to join our team at Emeco International. As a key member of our HSE department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coaching and Training: Provide coaching, training, and advising to managers on a range of HSET issues, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their teams.
  • Safety Management System (SHMS): Actively support the development and maintenance of our SHMS, ensuring it is aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Educate and embed our organisational policies, processes, systems, and procedures in support of our national HSET strategy and Emeco Safety Health and Environment Management System.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Ensure that site HSET records are maintained to a high standard, and provide regular analysis and reporting of metrics to the business to communicate progress against HSET plans and key objectives.
  • Incident Investigation and Management: Lead incident investigations with site management, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are identified, and compile investigation reports to inform corrective actions.
  • Event Management and Compliance: Monitor and manage our event management system, Viking (MYOSH), to ensure accurate and timely reporting as per our ESHMS-12 – PRO-001 Incident Report and Investigation Procedure.
  • Workplace Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits, monitoring compliance with our policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Non-Conformance and Improvement Opportunities: Ensure all non-conformances or improvement opportunities identified in audits are reviewed and appropriate actions implemented within the agreed time frame.
  • Injury Management and Return-to-Work: Assist the Injury Management coordinator with injured workers and the return-to-work coordination.
About You
  • Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, and/or Environment, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • High Risk Work License (HRWL): Current Drivers Licence and High Risk Work License (HRWL).
  • Knowledge and Skills: High level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety, and/or Environment and Training, with certification in Workplace Auditing and Workplace Investigations (e.g. ICAM).
  • Legislative Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements and the ability to effectively apply these in the workplace.
  • Cultural Change and Capability: Proven ability to drive cultural change and capability across the region.
Location

This role is based in the South West region of Western Australia.
