The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled HSET Advisor to join our team in the south west of Western Australia. This role is based on an 8/6 roster and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's safety and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and train managers on a range of HSET issues, equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their teams.
- Support the development and maintenance of our Safety Health Management System (SHMS).
- Educate and embed our organisational policies, processes, systems, and procedures in support of our national HSET strategy and Emeco Safety Health and Environment Management System.
- Maintain site HSET records to a high standard.
- Provide regular analysis and reporting of metrics to the business, communicating progress against HSET plans and key objectives.
- Provide hands-on assistance in the implementation of HSE tools and processes.
- Lead incident investigations with site management, identifying root causes and corrective actions, and ensuring corrective actions are communicated and supported within the agreed time frame.
- Monitor and manage the event management system – Viking (MYOSH) to your delegated authority level accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits, monitoring compliance.
- Ensure all non-conformances or improvement opportunities identified in audits are reviewed and appropriate actions implemented within the agreed time frame.
- Assist the Injury Management coordinator with injured workers and return-to-work coordination.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with:
A current Driver's Licence.A High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, and/or Environment.A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.Certification in Workplace Auditing and Workplace Investigations (e.g. ICAM).High-level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety, and/or Environment and Training.Previous experience in a similar role, working in a high-risk safety environment, such as mining, resources, engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors.In-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements and the ability to effectively apply these in the workplace.Proven ability to drive cultural change and capability across the region.
