About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSET Advisor to join our team in the South West region of Western Australia. As a key member of our HSE department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching, training, and advisory services to managers on HSET issues and equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their teams.
  • Support the development and maintenance of our Safety Health Management System (SHMS) and ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Educate and embed organisational policies, processes, systems, and procedures in support of our national HSET strategy and Emeco Safety Health and Environment Management System.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of site HSET records.
  • Provide regular analysis and reporting of metrics to the business to communicate progress against HSET plans and key objectives.
  • Proactively assist in the implementation of HSE tools and processes.
  • Lead incident investigations with site management to identify root causes and corrective actions, compile investigation reports, and ensure corrective actions are communicated and implemented within agreed time frames.
  • Monitor and manage the event management system – Viking (MYOSH) to your delegated authority level.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to monitor compliance.
  • Ensure all non-conformances or improvement opportunities identified in audits are reviewed and appropriate actions implemented within agreed time frames.
  • Assist the Injury Management coordinator with injured workers and return-to-work coordination.
About You
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, and/or Environment
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Certification in Workplace Auditing and Workplace Investigations
  • High-level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety, and/or Environment and Training
  • Previous experience in a similar role, working in a high-risk safety environment
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change and capability across the region
