Job Opportunity:
Claims Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the manager to provide ongoing operational support for claims unit.
- Manage day-to-day activities of a claims portfolio and maintain accurate records of claims status.
- Resolve liability claims through effective communication with clients, claimants, solicitors, repairers, and assessors.
- Make recommendations to clients regarding settlement of claims after obtaining client authority.
- Refer files exceeding client insurance excess to relevant insurers and update claims database accordingly.
- Ensure regular communication with clients regarding progress of claims and their satisfaction.
- Participate in regular meetings with claims staff to identify improvements to existing claims procedures.
- Support the delivery of training programs to client staff as requested.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in law or business (insurance) and possess previous experience working with clients. Flexibility and composure under pressure are also essential.
