Director of Physiotherapy Job Description

The Director of Physiotherapy is a senior leadership position overseeing the provision of physiotherapy services across all clinical settings within Sydney. As part of the Allied Health Executive team, this role reports to the District Director of Allied Health and works closely with key leaders and stakeholders internally and externally.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader in physiotherapy to create a new vision for physiotherapy services. The successful candidate will have experience in leading and managing professional standards, workforce planning, governance, and the development of safety and quality in physiotherapy services.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in physiotherapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current NSW driver's license.
  • High-level leadership and management skills, including experience in understanding complex issues and working collaboratively towards solutions.
  • Experience in teaching, research, writing for publication, and clinical practice advancement in the discipline of physiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Providing leadership and professional governance for physiotherapists.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to physiotherapy services.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure safe and high-quality physiotherapy services.
  • Leading and developing teaching, research, writing for publication, and clinical practice advancement.
