Child Protection and Wellbeing Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Child Protection and Wellbeing Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve our child safety program, including policies and procedures related to medical conditions, medication administration, and emergency response.
- Monitor and review our infection control program across all centers to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and programs that promote child health, safety, and wellbeing, meeting all relevant legislative requirements.
- Understand and maintain up-to-date information regarding our child protection and safety risk profile and establish systems to mitigate risks and prevent harm.
- Ensure all reported child safety incidents are thoroughly investigated, and corrective actions are implemented and reviewed for ongoing effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualification in social work, welfare or equivalent.
- Knowledge of child safe organisation principles and child protection systems across all states.
- Proven ability to develop policies, procedures, and processes based on legislation, research, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in completing investigations and conducting root cause analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in leading risk assessment and adverse event incident management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
