Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist

This senior leadership role involves leading the coordination of responses across the child protection continuum, providing policy and practice advice, and managing staff and resources to achieve strategic outcomes.
The position requires a qualified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with strong analytical and advisory skills, able to provide high-level analysis and recommendations on innovative approaches to service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on matters related to child protection, including policy development and implementation.
- Develop and implement quality systems and procedures for effective coordination of responses, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Lead the implementation, monitoring, and review of departmental priorities, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of complex issues and develop evidence-based recommendations for improved service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing staff and resources to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Strong analytical and advisory skills, with the ability to provide high-level analysis and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Degree in Social Work, Law, or a related field, with a focus on child protection.
