Gender Equality Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Gender Equality body of work. In this 12-month parental leave cover role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that promote economic empowerment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical understanding of philanthropic and impact investment approaches that support women's economic empowerment.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase capital and resources allocated to women entrepreneurs.
  • Establish trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including civil society organisations and social enterprises.
  • Build relationships with influential businesses, banks and investors to promote financial inclusion and equality.
  • Work closely with advocacy and engagement teams to advocate for law and policy reform to support economic empowerment for women.
Qualifications

You will bring a minimum of ten years of professional experience, including experience developing and/or managing strategies to promote gender equality and/or economic empowerment.

You will also hold:

  • A relevant tertiary degree with an understanding of commercial and financial models.
  • Established networks across impact investing, philanthropy, government and business.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the relevant issues, complexity and challenges associated with financial inclusion and empowerment for vulnerable women.
  • Strategic leadership expertise that sees you transition between big picture thinking and tactical executions.
