Culinary Expert for Aged Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at St Vincent's Care Services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents, while working collaboratively with our experienced team to create a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for residents, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal service and high-quality presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
Requirements:
- Trade qualification in Commercial cooking (preferred), current Food Handler Certificate
- Proven experience with volume cooking in hotels, healthcare, and/or similar environments
- Excellent knowledge of food services, including chill production and planning dining service
- Understanding of and compliance with food safety hygiene standards
- High level of customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow directives as per care plan
- Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
- National Police Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role
