Key Responsibilities

  • Section Management: Organise and maintain your section of the kitchen with precision and care.
  • Team Leadership: Train and lead your team, ensuring clear communication and delegation of tasks.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen orders and provide constructive feedback to improve processes.
  • Culinary Support: Support the Sous Chef and culinary leadership in daily operations.
  • Area Oversight: Oversee your designated kitchen area and assist other sections as needed.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
  • Event Support: Contribute to the success of weddings and events, with opportunities to expand your skill set in these areas.
  • Operational Excellence: Work closely with the Executive Chef to solve operational challenges and enhance kitchen efficiency.
  • Team Environment: Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a kitchen environment, ready to step into the Chef de Partie role.
  • Cert IV in Basic Culinary or a Diploma in Food Science, along with a Food Safety Certificate.
  • Top-notch knife skills across butchery, seafood, poultry, and dessert preparations.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to presenting high-quality dishes.
  • Solid knowledge of kitchen operations and a passion for culinary arts.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and working well with a diverse team.
