Nurse Care Specialist

The role of the Registered Nurse entails overseeing medical, psychiatric, and nursing care for individuals served. This position also serves as a clinical liaison until individuals are enrolled in services at another community facility.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate services with public and private health agencies to ensure appropriate care for individuals.
- Assist with service planning, assessment, and treatment plans.
- Provide individual and family counseling, as well as supervise and/or provide nursing treatment and monitoring.
- Respond to crisis calls, conduct assessments, and provide pertinent intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care.
- Hold a graduation degree from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Valid and current state-specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred).
- Minimum one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
- Demonstrate knowledge of psychiatric medications, basic computer skills, and ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve, communicate verbally and in writing, and conduct assessments and treatment plans.
- Exhibit excellent documentation skills, trauma-informed care experience preferred, and bilingual skills.
This role may involve work close to the eyes, substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers, frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision, color vision, and auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty pounds. May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility, with contact with individuals who are agitated and/or confused.
