About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles to improve production quality, safety, and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Managers to implement continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure compliance with all EH&S systems and procedures.
  • Conduct R&D to improve the efficiency of new and existing machines.
  • Promote customer service excellence at all times.
  • Assist in risk assessments and SOP development for new and existing machinery.
  • Support production safety, quality, and output by working with operational teams in Australia.
  • Liaise with machinery and parts suppliers and external maintenance teams to ensure spare parts availability.
  • Apply Lean principles to improve machinery design.
  • Gather and analyse data to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • E nsure efficient operation of all plant and equipment to achieve optimum availability and meet budget requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles using problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Assist in identifying, administering, and implementing capital projects to improve process capability and workplace safety.
