Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities, and develops automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Mount Gambier.
Job DescriptionAs a Mechanical Engineer with Crossmuller, you will be responsible for designing and detailing machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software. You will commission automation wood manufacturing, procure materials and parts for engineering projects, construct and test machines in our workshop, and design factory automation for plant upgrades and new projects.
You will also create layout drawings for project proposals, planning, and execution, as well as perform calculations to analyze throughput and performance.
Attributes and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will require experience in 2D or 3D CAD drafting, including the ability to produce manufacturing drawings. You should have knowledge of mechanical design and automation, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar degrees), or Diploma Mechanical Engineering with experience is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team are also required.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this role will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
