Borg Manufacturing is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration.
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Mount Gambier.
Position Overview
This is a full-time permanent position within our Engineering Team. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and detailing of machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.
- Commissioning Automation wood Manufacturing
- Procurement of materials and parts for engineering projects.
- Machine construction & testing in Somersby workshop.
- Factory automation design for plant upgrades, optimisation and new projects.
- Layout drawings for project proposal, planning and execution.
- Calculations to analyse throughput and performance.
Requirements
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar degrees), Diploma Mechanical Engineering with experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and be proactive.
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet targets.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently either independently or as part of a team.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
Selection Criteria
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
The rate will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
