We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Coordinator to join our team at Aurizon, Australia's largest rail freight operator. This critical role will be responsible for the daily operations of Aurizon Containerised Freight Services by providing safe, efficient, and customer-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations of Aurizon Containerised Freight Services, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods.
- Provide quality service to customers, negotiating container loading schedules and managing customer needs.
- Lead process and people to ensure delivery on time and above expectations.
- Champion a safety culture based on values and principles, achieving and implementing all safety standards, systems, and initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the end-to-end operational requirements of the container service facilities.
- Create, manage, and maintain all customer bookings, ensuring proactive communication is key to customer satisfaction and delivery of goods.
- Actively engage with customers to solicit feedback on the services provided by Aurizon Containerised Freight Services and how improvements or additional services can be arranged.
- Ensure capacity management is provided as defined by customer agreements and maintain Aurizon performance reporting for the terminal, ensuring customer obligations are achieved.
- Support terminal staff by communicating incidents to customers where necessary, supervising and assisting local incident management, and undertaking investigations as they arise within the operational environments.
- Qualifications in supply chain, asset management, project management, frontline management, planning/scheduling, or commercial/business studies, or a minimum of 4-5 years practical experience.
- Previous frontline leadership experience in a large-scale logistics or heavy industrial organisation, materials handling site, commercial business, or similar.
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate with diverse work groups.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise business processes.
- Previous knowledge of the Safety Management System, standard operating procedures, and use of PMS Pro application is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in planning day of operation activities.
- Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal, consultation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in the use of information technology and systems, focusing on monitoring, recording, and reporting systems.
- Capability to maximise the use of assets by using supply chain management techniques.
