Responsibilities:
- Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in line with organisational guidelines.
- Procurement Policies: Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supplier Management: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements.
- Supplier Evaluation: Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best value for goods and services.
- Contract Management: Assist in contract management, including monitoring terms and performance.
- Stakeholder Support: Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes.
- Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain department.
Requirements:
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management within the Public Sector.
- Strong Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
