Job Title: Physical Security Risk SpecialistAbout the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced security risk specialist to join our team and contribute to creating a safe and secure environment for our people, while embracing the company's values of inclusion and belonging.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring potential risks to Canva, and supporting the implementation of programs to manage those risks. This will involve conducting risk assessments and providing practical risk and security advice, as well as helping create and maintain risk registers and treatment plans.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in security or safety risk management, who has experience conducting risk assessments and advisory activities. You will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide practical risk and security advice
  • Help create and maintain risk registers and treatment plans
  • Partner with the Senior Security Risk Specialist on a wide range of safety and security risk activities
  • Track risk treatment plans until completion and assist teams in implementation if needed
  • Support risk reporting, metrics, education, and training initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of security and safety risk processes and tools
Requirements:
  • Background in security or safety risk management (or a related discipline)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments and advisory activities
  • Understanding of enterprise risk management principles and frameworks
  • Experience developing or maintaining documentation related to risk management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate controls
