Job Overview

This role requires an individual with in-depth knowledge of security architecture to provide guidance on physical security.

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of physical security systems, creating detailed designs and guidelines to ensure compliance with government policies and frameworks.

They will utilize subject matter expertise to support the leadership team, focusing on physical security, risk management, and vulnerability assessment.

The individual will be responsible for developing and reviewing protective security policies, procedures, processes, guidelines, forms, and templates relating to protective security operations.

They will identify areas for improvement and provide advice and support for the remediation of security risk and reduction of exposure to security threats.

The Physical Security Specialist will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring compliance with obligations such as PSPF and ISM.

A Day in the Life:

In this role, engineers must demonstrate sound judgment in making technical decisions that balance short-term and long-term security and business goals.

They must show resilience and navigate complex situations with composure and tact, addressing conflicts by listening and finding the best way forward.

Successful engineers will regularly review their performance, understanding the organization's business and its interconnections.
