As a seasoned Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, configuration, and management of Cloudera platforms. This includes building and upgrading CDH distributions, managing services, backups, and disaster recovery.

Key aspects of this role include managing Elastic search clusters, performing upgrades, and managing elastic stacks. Implementing SSL certificates to Big data clusters and Elastic cluster is also crucial. Additionally, tuning and optimizing Hive queries, handling long-running queries, and experience with Active Directory and Kerberos SSO authentication and troubleshooting are essential.

Capacity planning, scheduling, evaluating the cluster for different business requirements, configuring High Availability for all Hadoop components, and troubleshooting are key responsibilities. Supporting batch processing and real-time data pipeline such as Kafka, automating complex tasks using pipelines, and documenting day-to-day business activities are also part of this role.

  • 5-8 years of experience in managing Big Data technologies and Hadoop ecosystem
  • Extensive experience in security implementation around the Hadoop clusters using Kerberos, Ranger
  • Good at handling data between Hadoop ecosystems
  • Linux shell scripting and commands, Oozie, and Crontab jobs along with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket
  • Experience with databases like MySQL and Oracle
  • HAProxy Load balance implementation, management, and troubleshooting for Hadoop ecosystem
  • Good communication and written skills, and attitude
